St.Stephen's School

Class 1TB

We are 1TB and can be found in Room 5. Our teacher is called Tess Brown and our EA is called Aisha Khankhara. We are very excited to have entered Key Stage 1 and learn lots of new things. This year, we are building a wide range of basic skills, which will help us to aspire for success throughout our time at St Stephens!

We are a class of kind, friendly children who work hard to achieve our goals. We enjoy
helping each other and sharing our ideas confidently and clearly. We also keep trying to improve our learning even if our work is tricky!

This year, we will focus on improving our phonics and should be masters by the end of
the year. It is very important that we read every single day at home and at school. Our
phonics also helps us to share our ideas in writing. This year, we will consolidate our
basic skills, such as: using finger spaces consistently; forming letters neatly; and
spelling core words accurately. By the end of the year we will have written about a wide range of adventures; both from real life and our imaginations!

In maths we will be learning about numbers to 100 and beyond. We will use a range of
exciting resources to become more confident with adding and subtracting. To help be
amazing at maths, we also need to know our number bonds to 10, so we will practise
them until we know them inside out.

1TB Class Charter

Each class at St. Stephen’s Primary School will complete a class charter, outlining agreements for members of the class and duty bearers (adults). All pupils are entitled to receive their rights. This class charter will form the basis of a display in class, be displayed on the class website page and also be used for class disciplinary matters.
